| Palmetto to Assist Aiken County EMS |
Since 1994, Palmetto Ambulance Service and Aiken County EMS have worked together under a mutual aide agreement. Anytime they have requested assistance, Palmetto Ambulance Service has responded providing EMS coverage to certain areas within the county, to mass casualty incidents like the tragic Graniteville train wreck on January 6, 2005 where over 5200 of our neighbors were displaced. |
| Palmetto Mourns the Passing of a Friend |
Often times in the EMS world, we go about our daily lives treating and transporting neighbors and strangers from all walks of life. Factory workers, farmers, sales clerks, CEOs, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters and our job remains constant, be professional, treat with skill and compassion, and transport safely. In my nineteen years in EMS, I can count on two hands the number of times a Thank You was bestowed upon my partner and me. It wasnt that we werent doing our job effectively, or professionally for that matter, but when a loved one was in need of care, the patient and family members were focused on their circumstances and loved one, and understandably so. |
| Greenville Bowl-A-Rama |
After a hard day at work, the Greenville Division decided to relax and unwind at a local bowling alley, sharing in what some consider the finest sport known to man. Obviously, with football season peaking around the corner and Bowl-A-Rama located in the middle of Tiger Country, many may, arguably, disagree with that perspective; however, on the evening of Thursday, July 30, 2009, it was about a round ball, a round shiny plastic ball. Color and size didnt matter; pigskin was substituted for plastic, strings for holes and the only question remaining was, Who's on my team? |
| Columbia Bowl-A-Rama |
With much anticipation, BOWL A RAMA has made its way to Columbia, SC, where Palmetto Associates showcased their honed bowling skills. From Tiger country to the heart of Gamecock Central, one thing is certain and make no mistake about it, the Gamecocks being from the SEC know how to play and arent afraid of a little competition and tonight would be no different. |
| Columbia's Special Night |
The evening began recognizing Safety Officer, Jerry Crocker for his dedicated tenure and future retirement. Upon the announcement, a standing ovation erupted as associates showed their immense appreciation for Jerry. Jerry has been a part of the Palmetto family for more than eleven years and was given a T-Shirt, fishing hat, fishing rods and a pair of binoculars. His wife was presented a dozen white roses and a certificate of appreciation, acknowledging her everlasting support for her husband. We are certain that Jerry will enjoy a few catnaps in the lazy boy, fish a little and spoil the grandchildren. |
| Aiken Bowl-A-Rama |
As summer comes to a close, the Aiken Division enjoyed some heated competition at the local bowling alley. Yes it's another Bowl-A-Rama...Aiken style! This time it was every team for themselves, with the best overall team score winning 8 hours of vacation! |

As the sun began to set in Aiken, South Carolina on that eerie October day, the moon began to rise to light the path for the Palmetto Creatures of the night.

| An Early Christmas -UPDATED- |
As the holiday season nears, we can't forget those selfless individuals who disregard their own problems and situations in order to help others. We would like to thank Angie (Annjanette Turner Finger) for all that she does. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the ones you help. |
| Palmetto Loses a Friend |
On Monday November 23th, 2009 Palmetto Ambulance lost the littlest member of their family, 5 year old Noah Biorkman. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. It's amazing how one person can touch the lives of so many people in the world. Thank you for letting us celebrate Christmas with you and your family. |
| For Our Veterans |
We would like to thank all of our service men and women for all that they do around the world. Without their sacrifices we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms we cherish today.
GOD BLESS AMERICA! |
| Gobble Gobble Gobble! |
The Aiken station celebrated its annual Thanksgiving Dinner with lots of food and laughter. Many plates were piled high and many bellies were over packed. |
| 2009 Christmas Party |
Even a winters chill and rain could not dampen the spirits on this evening. Tables were set, drinks chilled, napkins placed, and RSVPs counted as entertainment completed their sound check. All this meant one thing: Palmetto Ambulance Services 2009 Christmas Party was upon us. |
