On June 1st the Aiken In-Service kicked off with just that, delicious chicken and ended with a night full of commendable awards.
Guest speaker Angela Powell, Corporate Education Liaison at University of Phoenix, opened the night with an informative speech on furthering education and the numerous degrees they offer at their university.
Keith Stille, our very own President and CEO, then shared a memorial video on a local homecoming queen who was tragically killed in a single car accident as a result from texting and driving. After the video, he reinforced the dangers of being distracted while driving and how often texting related vehicle accidents occur. Drivers always need to remember to be safe and smart when out on the roads!
The new paperless software program, EMS Charts, was introduced to the crews by Area Supervisor, Mike Kinney. The Aiken Team will be the first to utilize this new paperless process and eventually the Columbia and Greenville Teams will adopt the new program as well. This will streamline our EMS paperwork further enabling us to be the best in our industry.
The month of June was an extraordinary month for Team Aiken as two crews were awarded the Palmetto Pride honors. The first crew recognized for this award was Regina Wheeler and Moses Williams for their outstanding compassion and professionalism. The next crew to be honored was Ginny and Mark Key for going above and beyond for their patients. Palmetto Ambulance received letters from patients and their families commending these two crews for their dedication in caring for their patients.
Last but not least, the Associate of the Month went to a well-deserving, Allan Moore. Allan Moore joined the Palmetto family last September and has proven himself a true team player in a short period of time. Thanks again Allan for being part of the Team! Please take a minute to congratulate your teammates on a job well done!
