The May 10 in-service was kicked off with a premier of “Palmetto Nights”.  Unfortunately due to technical difficulties with the audio, we had to watch it in silent movie form.  It still provided a few laughs and everyone was encouraged to go check it out on www.palmettoambulance.com.
The highlight of the night was welcoming our new associates to the Columbia market: Grayson Richardson, Katrisha Streater, Joel Player, and Darrell Ruth.  Their addition to the team is greatly appreciated as the Columbia market continues to grow.  The new marketing rep, Cathy “the dialysis diva” Walker was introduced to the Columbia family.  Along with supporting marketing efforts in the skilled nursing facilities, Cathy will act as a liaison to our dialysis patients and dialysis facilities throughout the Columbia and Aiken markets.

After Area Supervisor, Derrick Phillips, addressed the crews about the importance of vehicle maintenance inspection he introduced Palmetto Ambulanced new Safety Points program.  Each associate will receive one safety point for each hour of labor they work safely.  As they accumulate points they will have the option to turn in their points to purchase merchandise out of the associates catalog.

After listening to marketing report from Matt Musolf and going over operational procedures with Lyndia Baker, it was time for the awards.  Robert Gadson kicked off the awards ceremony receiving a letter of accommodation for his work at the Tour de Lake on April 24th.  Kathryn McNeil and Shameka Priester were awarded the Ambulance Pride award.  Donna Parks, Darlene Holmes and Vincent Worthy brought home the Medicab Pride award.  The associate of the month went to a very “worthy” associate, Mr. Vincent Worthy.
