Even a winters chill and rain could not dampen the spirits on this evening. Tables were set, drinks chilled, napkins placed, and RSVPs counted as entertainment completed their sound check. All this meant one thing: Palmetto Ambulance Services 2009 Christmas Party was upon us.
Even though days prior, Palmetto had discontinued accepting RSVPs, through email and telephone, many more poured in requesting to participate. Unfortunately, due to facility capacity some late registrants had to be turned away. However, those associates and friends that did join the festivities witnessed what has become known as A Magical Christmas. All the way from Las Vegas, Nevada, Spike and Hammer performed their comic/magical routine, mesmerizing guests with feats of illusion and magic. I am still trying to wrap my mind around how he swallowed those razor blades or how the money got into the fruit.
With over three hundred thirty in attendance, I am certain there were many questions like, how did he do that or was that real? However, one question that most certainly did not arise was, is the food any good? The chef did an amazing job preparing all the various entres and desserts, but it did not take long for the dance floor to become standing room only when the 11 piece band began playing some Motown music. It was as though Smokey Robinson himself had joined us for a celebration. Many guests remained throughout the evening, dancing and listening to the live music; however, the evening came to a close around 2:00am when the band played their last song. From all of Palmetto Ambulance Services management, we hope you and your family are very blessed this beautiful Christmas season, and all your holiday wishes be Magical! |
